Each year the South Sydney region Mission Team led by Margaret, Mission Manager, donate Christmas hampers to Home and Community Services’ clients who are in need.
At the Waterloo Wellness Centre, the Volunteer Team assisted in assembling the hampers, gathering at The Stables in Hunters Hill to put the items together for distribution to clients, in December.
Hampers were assembled by the Volunteer Team and delivered to Waterloo Day Centre for distribution to clients. Additional gifts donated to the Centre through Volunteer Team funding included a large-format digital clock, jigsaw puzzles and a sensory kitten.
One of the Waterloo Wellness Centre clients, Minnie, was thoroughly delighted by the sensory kitten, naming it ‘Daisy’.

“Our centre runs with the help of some amazing volunteers. We currently have four volunteers, two of whom have been with us for several years here at Waterloo Wellness Centre,” say Leesha, Coordinator, Home & Community Services, South East Sydney
“Helen joined the team in 2014 and brings boundless energy, compassion, and kindness with her every single week.
“Similarly, Louise started in 2018 and comes along with good humour a calm demeanour for her each of her weekly visits. All of our volunteers go above and beyond what is expected of them, without fail.”
