Our very own Liz Zachulski, Residential Manager for St Catherine's Bathurst, has been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours List with an OAM.
Liz started at St Catherine's almost 40 years ago and has worked with the same tireless passion, energy, dedication and care for her residents and staff every day since. Any time anyone needs a hand, Liz is always there without hesitation. Liz continues to lead the way and inspire us all. Congratulations Liz on this fabulous recognition.
Liz was interviewed by ABC News - read her article here.
The article says:
Her work at St Catherine's Aged Care in Bathurst has been more crucial than ever during COVID-19 and she has barely had a day off since the pandemic hit Australia.
Despite her new title of Medal of the Order (OAM), Ms Zachulski is more humble than ever.
"I am feeling very honoured, humbled and grateful for doing a job that I love to do," Ms Zachulski told the ABC.
"I have to stress that this award is really for all the people who work in aged care that look after elderly Australians when they need comfort and kindness.
"With this award, I'd like to applaud all the people in aged care for doing a magnificent job."
Congratulations Liz!
