Catholic Healthcare is excited to announce that the extension and refurbishment of Jemalong Residential Village in Forbes is now complete.
This has included the closure and transfer of The Mater to Jemalong.
Thirty one residents from The Mater moved to their new home yesterday, taking their cherished belongings and memories with them.
Evelyn Quade, Residential Manager of Jemalong Residential Village said, “We thank our staff across the organisation together with residents’ families who were instrumental in helping the move go so smoothly. All our residents were moved safely to their new home.”
Commissioning and Integration Manager, Anne Maree Hodgson said, “We are incredibly grateful for the expertise, care and commitment of the teams at The Mater and Jemalong who made this move a great success and are now settling in our residents to make them feel at home.”
The expansion of Jemalong Residential Village includes an additional 39 accommodation places for older people at the home, as well as seeing the refurbishment of activity spaces, dining areas, courtyards, chapel and more to enrich the lives of current and future residents.
