Stepping On is an evidence-based 7-week program designed for people who live at home and have experienced a fall or who are concerned about falling. The program has proven effective in reducing falls in older people living in the community and incorporates strategies to implement positive lifestyle changes to keep people independent, upright, and active!
The Stepping On program incorporates gentle group exercises to improve balance as well as educational talks from experts.
Over the seven weeks of the program, educational topics covered include home hazards, community safety, medication management, safe footwear, vision, and healthy eating.
The evidence has proven that Stepping On reduces falls by 31% in the community.
