Josh McFarlane appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Healthcare
The Catholic Healthcare Board is delighted to announce that Josh McFarlane has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Catholic Healthcare Limited, effective 4 October 2023.
After successfully leading Catholic Healthcare's residential care, home and community, and independent living services as Chief Operating Officer for 18 months, Josh transitioned into the Acting Chief Executive Officer role five months ago. Josh was chosen to undertake the Acting CEO role at that time because of the leadership qualities, values and aged care knowledge that he had demonstrated so well as Chief Operating Officer.
‘Josh has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead according to CHL’s mission and its values. He has also been a key contributor to the development of our strategy, and he is well-placed to lead its implementation and to continue to improve the lives of those we care for and serve,’ says Stephen Teulan Board Chair of Catholic Healthcare.
‘It’s an honour and privilege to lead such a wonderful organisation, made up of incredible people making a difference in the lives of so many people every day. With its rich 29-year heritage, strong values and commitment to its mission, Catholic Healthcare is uniquely positioned to continue to be a leader in delivering innovative and quality care services for older Australians. I’m incredibly proud to lead Catholic Healthcare through its next phase,’ says Josh McFarlane.
