Note: Numbers of attendees are strictly limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
All sessions of the *Stepping On Southwest Sydney program are completely free, ensuring participants can access this valuable resource without any cost.
*Stepping On is supported by funding from the Australian Government through the PHN Program.
Who is suitable for this program?
Someone who:
- Is aged 65+ years, or Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders aged 45+ years.
- Lives at home (not in a residential aged care home).
- Is able to walk independently, with or without a walking stick.
- Has a fear of falling or has had a fall in the last year.
Note: The program is not suitable for people who have significant cognitive impairments or complex neuromuscular conditions.

The program features guest speakers who cover many of the educational topics mentioned above.
Length of the program
The Stepping On Southwest Sydney Falls Prevention Program runs for 7-weeks, with sessions held once a week for 2 hours each.
It includes an initial and final assessment, a group booster session after 3 months, and a follow-up phone call at 6 months to monitor progress and ensure ongoing safety.
